Sephora Haulin' and mini reviews

Sephora Haul and mini reviews - Dusty Foxes Beauty Blog

A new day, a new haul. This I got ages ago actually, when I was on holiday. So I've had time to properly test out these items and let you know what I think.

First of all I got the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in the Shade Fair-Light Neutral. The shade Fair-Light Honey was also a good match for me when I am a bit tanned.

The inside of the lid protrudes out unto a mesh which contains the product. Which I like as it means less mess. The matching Airbuki Brush that is paired with it fits nicely and it is how I apply the foundation. It is quite high coverage and can be built up to a more full coverage. It seems quite good at oil control, where I am oily I do touch up in the evening and doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

The brush is really really small, smaller than the palm of my hand but has a nice weight and buffs the foundation in brilliantly. It washed well, but took quite long to dry, possibly due to the density of the brush. I must admit, I found myself rubbing this brush on my cheeks even when not applying the product because it is so soft! I really like this brush.

I also picked up the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. This was purely because I have heard so many rave reviews online about the product I had to try it. The small brush is good for catching my nearly non-existent bottom lashes and makes them look so much better. The little tube is so cute too, but tends to get lost under my other makeup due to size (I need to sort out my stash actually...)

Sephora Haul and mini reviews - Urban Decay Snakebite and Buck - Dusty Foxes Beauty Blog

Sephora Haul and mini reviews - Urban Decay Snakebite and Buck - Dusty Foxes Beauty Blog

Somehow the Urban Decay stand was quite a lot cheaper than in the UK (after currency conversion.) So I took the chance to pick up these 2 shadows. I wanted to get one of the Naked Palettes but I couldn't decide on just one so I gave up. I already own a few of the UD single eyeshadows (Melt, Minor Sin and Guilt) but as they were all light colours I wanted some darker ones. I swatched a few ( most of them actually) and these 2 found their way into my basket.

Buck is a brown matte shade, a great crease colour while Snakebite is a slightly deeper brown shimmer that I personally use as an outer corner colour to amp up a smoky brown eye. I wish I picked up a few more middle colours that aren't as light or dark as the ones I own at the moment for an everyday eye look as these shadows are amazingly pigmented and blend gorgeously,

Sephora Haul and mini reviews - Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover - Dusty Foxes Beauty Blog

Since I was getting eye makeup, I decided to pick up some remover. This is a Bi-phase one so you have to shake it up before using and it looks so cute on my desk. I got the travel size as I wasn't sure if I wanted the full size. Slightly regretting that now as this is awesome. I put some on a cotton pad and press onto my eye for a few seconds before gently rubbing it off and it removes waterproof mascara and even some shadows that I usually find hard to remove so easily.

If I had to name a con (besides unavalability in the UK), I would say that it leaves my eyelids feeling a little oily, but since I wash my face after removing my makeup it isn't a big deal.

Last product I got was the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red. This product was raved about by a few of my favourite YouTubers, most of whom accredited the purchase with Amelia Liana (who's the first one who made me NEED this product as well).
I have a photo of me wearing this on my Instagram, but what can I say about this that hasn't been said before? It's really nice on the lips and is long-wearing, a little hard to remove as well (which is good).

I wish I got a different colour as well as this one because I so rarely wear red lipstick (the only time I wore it out I was told I was trying too hard and never wore it out since), but this is shade is more for the brave at heart.

Feel Unique Unique Member

Feel Unique Unique Member - Dusty Foxes Beauty Blog

So I was browsing Feel Unique which is one of my favourite online stores when I somehow stumbled across their Unique Member page (as you do when you're trying not to checkout and spend all your food money by staying on the site for as long as you can).

Basically, it's form you sign up for and you can choose a brand that you like the most (that makes you feel the most "unique") and you can get 10% off FOR LIFE! So as I've been eyeing the Urban Decay Naked Palettes (among others) as I missed out on the Naked Vault, I decided to put Urban Decay down but you can change it after 6 months.

There are terms and conditions though, you have to be a registered member and you've had to have made a purchase with them before. I definitely fulfil those 2 conditions, so I signed up. Best of all, this membership is FREE. I tried and I can anything from Urban Decay off including the Pulp Fiction Palette.

There are exceptions to this, and those are Stila, Lily Lolo, ghd and Ole Hendrikson. Which I wish could change (especially ghd and Stila as I want to try those the most), but these brands don't usually have offers on them so I guess that's kinda expected.

Also, since we're on the topic of Feel Unique, I wanted to add that if you spend over £30, you get to choose 2 samples (some of which are quite decent looking) and I believe there's free shipping, which is always good.

Also, if there are any problems with your order (because that happened to me once), tweet @Feelunique_care rather than using the contact form online. Both work, but in my opinion, tweeting them gets a bit of a faster response.

Basically, I love Feel Unique and have recommended my friends to go, so I thought I would recommend this wonderful site to my readers :D

Anyway, I thought I would just post quickly about this because I thought it would be a good way to save 10% on your favourite brand. I just wish I knew about this earlier!

With Christmas coming up, I thought I would share the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot set with you because I think this is a seriously good deal.

It comes with (Swatched L-R) Dandelion (4.0g), Bella Bamba (5.0 g, discontinued supposedly), Sugar Bomb (6.0g), Hoola (5.0 g), Coralista (5.0g), Rockateur (5.0 g, same weight as full size), and Watt's Up (1.5g).

Since I am obsessed with repurposing products, I thought I would mention that you can take out the blushes and make use of the tin. Yay!

I highly recommend getting this if you are interested in trying a range of Benefit's famous Box O' Powders as you're getting 6 blushes and a highlight for just a bit more than a single. (£6 more!)

Also, how cute is that packaging! I love the little details, like on the back it says "please enter around front". It also comes with a little booklet with some blush tips (where to apply) which I thought was cute.

I definitely recommend tracking this down (I got mine at Boots) if you're interested! This would also make a great Christmas gift for any Benefit fan and I don't think deals like this would come up often!

Do you have this or are you interested in getting it? Let me know in the comments below!

Autumn Tag!

image cr: http://www.makeup-pixi3.com/2014/09/the-autumn-tag-2014.html

I saw this tag on Tales of a Pale Face by the lovely Kat and I thought I would share my version of the Autumn Tag!

1.  Ok we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
#TBH I don't drink coffee (except in rare exceptions when I need an energy boost) and I don't really like the taste of it. So I'm going for Black Forest Hot Chocolate from Costa Coffee. As I haven't been to Costa recently, I'm not sure if they have it this year, but last year I spent my free minutes between classes getting this delicious drink! Definitely a fav!

2.  Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I love my boots from Clarks. They are the perfect pair to wear in my opinion as they look nice with everything I tend to wear (skirts with leggings mostly) and are super comfortable. I use a waterproofing polish so that adds to their usefulness, especially in the rainy weather.
Occasionally, I also add on a beanie, Mine is pale pink and was handmade by a friend.

3.  Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I rarely change up my music preferences, Mainly because I tend to listen to the same songs over and over. I have noticed though, in Autumn I tend to listen to piano a bit more, especially Yiruma. The soft music really suits the sound of raindrops and makes me feel cosy (especially when I'm wrapped up under my covers!)

4.  Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
Right now I am using Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and a Vanilla Caramel scent I got from France when I was on holiday there last year. I really like ALL of Taylor Swift's perfumes (Swiftie here...) and Taylor was my go-to summer scent, but around this time, I tend to lean more towards sweeter more full scents. I call it "cosy scents".

5.  Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I am one of those unfortunate people who cannot have candles because my accommodation doesn't allow it, so I'll skip this question this year.

6.  What do you love most about Autumn?
I love the colder weather. I love wearing comfy hoodies and jumpers so the cooler weather is perfect for that, but it isn't so cold that I need to throw on a thick coat like in winter. Also, it's the perfect excuse to stay in and watch movies and wear comfy pajamas (not that I need an excuse).

7.  Favourite makeup look?
I still go for a neutral eye with lots of shimmer, but I change up my blushers to more plummy tones. As I don't have many plum blushes, I've been using Sleek Flushed a lot. Any recommendations are appreciated!!

8.  What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
Not really an Autumn thing, but I'm a November baby, so I'm looking forward to my birthday! I'm also looking forward to getting some (more) super cosy tights from Primark. In fact I may just go now.....

What are you looking forward to this Autumn? Let me know in the comments below! Also leave a link if you've done this tag! I love reading them :)

Review: MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint

MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint. L:Bring it Back, R: A Girl Like Me

Stick formed makeup seems to be a thing now, ever since the Clinique Chubby Sticks and I decided to give this offering from MUA (Make Up Academy) a try, especially as it was affordable and within my budget (unlike Clinique...) So how did these fare?

MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint. L:Bring it Back, R: A Girl Like Me
I tried 2 shades, Bring it Back and A Girl Like Me. Really nice neutral shades that are easy to wear. They were easy to apply and I like wearing A Girl Like me all over my lid with Bring it back in the outer corner near the lash line to add a little definition. The product is creamy and blends well, but it was a bit disconcerting to apply the first few times for me. It was almost like I was poking my eyeball so be careful not to press too hard!

However.... I found these crease terribly on my oily lids. So I have to use a primer underneath to make sure it doesn't end up looking really weird. They don't last all day on me (so tint is a bit misleading), but are easy enough to re-apply, but if you're not keen on checking your makeup throughout the day, these may not be for you.

There are 6 shades in the range and you can find them here at the MUA site. Priced at £3.00 each.

I also found some other reviews you may like to check out.

I have read lots of reviews on this product and it seems that the general consensus is that it's great (especially for the price).

Agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments below.
